Before Studio Eighty Five, Indi spent over half a decade as a bridal makeup artist, but unlike most, she wasn’t drowning in admin. Coming from a corporate marketing career with one of Australia’s largest investment funds, she treated her business like a big company. Systems weren’t optional, they were a non-negotiable. So when she hit a wedding season with 24 weddings in a single month, she could be fully present with her brides while her systems handled new enquiries and admin that supported her brides in the background.

What Indi noticed, though, was that not everyone had that safety net. Other vendors she worked alongside were burning out, dropping the ball on communication and leaving brides frustrated. Seeing the gap and knowing most creatives don’t exactly dream of spending their days knee-deep in tech, she knew she could help. After months of building, testing, and refining, she launched Studio Eighty Five in April 2024 to give wedding pros the same freedom she’d experienced.

That’s when Heraldo stepped in. After 11 years as a logistics engineer in the Airforce, he had moved to Australia planning to stay for just one year to learn English but meeting Indi changed that. Starting from scratch in a new country with little language, he worked as a cleaner, then in warehouses, before working his way up into luxury sales where he thrived. When Studio Eighty Five exploded with demand, Indi needed help fast. Heraldo was the first to raise his hand, officially joining the business in August 2024 and bringing his precision, discipline, and sales expertise into the mix.
